This self-taught artist didn’t follow a usual background. Despite a strong inspiration for the arts since she was a young child, Emma Musoma Weng decided to work as psychiatry nurse where she developed therapeutic workshops by singing. At the same time she evolved step-by-step expressing herself by painting. After 15 years of a career and painting, she decided to make her works known and began to exhibit.
"When I paint, I try to be generous and soothing, it is certainly the prerogative of anxious persons."

Due to her unusual background, Emma Musoma Weng offers a calm gaze, without stereotypes. Strongly committed to colour and movement, she warmly invites us to reflect on our life and the ways in which we evolve. Indeed, every line and curve emphasize a moment of happiness, love or sadness.
"I try to have an optimistic and dynamic eye on the world, I don’t really have the choice anyway. Sometimes the world can be simplified in insignificant details that sublime it. That is why I think that taking care of details give us access to happiness."

Her paintings reveal an optimistic eye on the world, two at a time surrealistic and abstract. The reality is disturbing because of the complexity of geometric shapes and lines. What she offers to see are feelings, heteroclites interest, explainable or not.
"I am searching emotional aspects into colours."

The colours, product of a long thought, are chosen for their pureness and for what they express.
"Each one my canvas is lived as a dream, a project, a utopia, sometimes like an anecdote, but i always keep being guide by ma pictorial sensibility."

Each canvas could be a reality surprised in its most pure and harmonious essence. Emma Musoma Weng’s work carries and supports a spatial and temporal movement that conveys a liberty of identification. Each one can see their patterns, subjects or issues.
"My dreams are the seat of my artistic inspiration. Everything is more clear and my paintings are the material of what I live consciously and unconsciously."
